Sunshine and Sweet Tea {my latest fabric collection!!}

FINALLY I have my hands on some of the pre-cuts for my latest fabric collection, Sunshine & Sweet Tea. My advanced yardage was supposed to be delivered to me in December so that I could start working on the new patterns for this collection, however it was apparently lost at sea! Although frustrating, I was just thrilled to be able to receive a little bit of the fabric last week so that I can start working on my patterns. This fabric collection will be arriving in stores later this month!

The two things (other than my faith) that fuel me and help to get my through my days are Sunshine and Sweet Tea. Even during the coldest days of winter, a little sunshine can completely change my outlook. This collection is a compilation of colors and florals that radiate summer and sunshine to me. My hope is that it will brighten the days of those who create with it as well.

It’s very difficult or me to choose a favorite print in this collection, however those cute little bees on the hexagon prints are certainly up at the top of the list! I also adore the tiny bees included in the selvedge for each print. 🐝

I am working to finish my first quilt with Sunshine and Sweet Tea called Beluga. My fabric is all cut and below is a digital sketch of the finished quilt.

Another new pattern that I will be creating with this collection is the Sunshine Lemons table runner. I can’t wait to get started on this one!!

I have also mocked up a few of my other patterns with Sunshine and Sweet Tea to give you some more inspiration. The names and links to these patterns in the shop are all below.

Stargaze - click here or pattern.

Triangle Parade - click here for pattern

Seeing Stars - click here for pattern

Stay tuned to see the new quilts as I get them finished! And if you’re interested, you can click here and ask to be notified when the fabric has hit the stores (or if it is in the shops, this link will take you directly to the Fat Quarter Shop’s listings for the fabric).

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda
