Boxed In {a FREE beginner friendly quilt pattern using pre-cut 2 1/2" strips!!}

I have been on a mission lately to design quilts that can be made using pre-cut fabrics. My latest quilt, Boxed In, is made using pre-cut 2 1/2” strips (or jelly rolls), and believe it or not, this is my first quilt made with Halloween fabric! When the Tiny Treaters collection came out in April, I knew it would be perfect for my first Halloween quilt. I just LOVE the addition of teal to the traditional orange and black prints.

With the simple piecing, this is another great pattern for beginning quilters and would look fantastic using any fabric collection.

The Boxed In quilt finishes at 70” square, so it’s perfect for snuggling under as the weather starts to turn cool and while watching scary movies.

I decided to use a coordinating orange thread for the quilting, which I think gives it a fun look and feel.

Check out the video tutorial below to see how this quilt comes together and you can also download the free printable pattern here.
