Star Spangled Quilt

It’s finally finished! My Star Spangled quilt top has been pieced and waiting to be quilted for 10 months! The delay was waiting for my Picadilly wide back fabric to arrive. It’s crazy how much Covid has affected the supply chain and commerce of the world! It’s been quilted for a few weeks now, but our weather has been horrible lately (or my quilt holders were both gone during daylight!), so I wasn’t able to get any photos until this weekend.

For the quilting pattern, I chose Baptist Fan Stars designed by Julie Hirt and I love how it turned out. The overall texture of the baptist fans is gorgeous, but the addition of the small star in the center of each one is a perfect fit for this quilt.

The above photo shows the basic block for this quilt, but the pattern includes numerous layout options to allow for completely different looks.

You can see a little peek of the backing fabric in the photo below. It is an enlarged version of the Seeing Stars print and placed on point. So worth the wait to have a perfectly matched fabric on the back :)

Tons of yummy texture!

Thanks for stopping by!

Amanda
