Jelly Roll 18 Patch quilt {tutorial and FREE pattern!}

I’m really excited about this month’s tutorial! The Jelly Roll 18 Patch is a beginner friendly quilt pattern that is just so cute. And the best thing about using pre-cut 2 1/2” strip packs (jelly roll, rolie polie, etc.), is that you achieve a beautiful coordinated scrappy look every time.

This pattern is so versatile and I think would look great with any fabric collection. When my mom saw it over the weekend, she mentioned doing it in red and white fabric and I think that would be beautiful!!

The fabric I used for this lap sized quilt is Gingham Foundry and will be arriving in stores this month. You can go to Fat Quarter Shop’s website to sign up and receive a notification when it will be in stock. The floral on the back is so pretty and I LOVE a striped effect binding and the herringbone print in navy works perfectly for that.

I think the beautiful shades of navy, blue, white and yellow in this collection are so classic. When I was finished the quilt, I realized it goes perfectly with my chair in the living room, so I’ve claimed it as mine!!

This lap size quilt finishes at 48” x 60” and uses just one jelly roll for the quilt top. If you have 2 jelly rolls, you can make more blocks and the tutorial shares multiple size options using 2 jelly rolls.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
