Picadilly {a sneak peek at my next fabric collection!!}

I’m excited to share with you my latest fabric collection, Picadilly, that will be coming to stores in April 2022. Picadilly is the celebration of all things summer in America. Inspired by times spent at my Dad’s house on Picadilly Court in Indiana, including picnics, parades, barbecues, fireworks and family traditions. These prints will be perfect in your summer projects. Picadilly is also a great collection to use in Quilts of Valor to honor those who fought for our freedoms to enjoy life’s memory making events with the ones we love.

Here are my strike-offs for the collection - aren’t they looking great?! I can’t wait to receive the advanced yardage in a few months so that I can start making some new projects with this fabirc.

I love the main print which includes some “bursts” that look like fireworks, but it’s really difficult to choose a favorite print after that. The multi-colored orange peel prints are so fun, but I also adore the bandana prints!! Of course I can never have too many dots, and won’t those stripes be a great binding choice?!

I’m also excited to share a new quilt pattern that will be coming out in April along with the fabric. Say hello to Star Spangled! The image below is a mockup of the 90” queen size.

One of the great things about this new pattern is that it will contain multiple layout options, including the two twin size mockups below that finish at 75” x 90”. I can’t wait to make one of these quilts to put on our bed this summer.

You may have noticed one of the prints in the collection resembles my quilt pattern called Seeing Stars (mockup photo below). The pattern is fat quarter friendly and I love this patriotic version, especially using the Blossom fabric in the Uncle Sam color way as the background. The orange peel binding finishes it off perfectly too! Another exciting development is that Riley Blake will be offering the Seeing Stars print in a wide back!! Yay!! I won’t have to piece my quilt backing for my bed quilt!! :-)

The last quilt that I’m featuring with this collection is my Disperse quilt. This is a great baby sized quilt that finishes at 42” square and can be made with pre-cut 5” squares.

Stay tuned for more on this collection as my fabric starts to arrive. I promise to share it all with you!

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda
