W.I.P. Wednesday {1.8.14}

I'm not sure how the weather is in your neck of the woods, but here it has been bitterly cold with tons of snow.  My county has been on a snow emergency (meaning only essential, emergency traffic) since Sunday.  So, what is a girl to do with all of this time stuck inside...sew of course! I pieced these blocks last week before the storm.  They are from the Lucky Stars block of the month and I am shamefully behind.

July Block: Lucky Stars July block

August Block:

Lucky Stars August block

Then on Sunday when the storm hit I started working on a gift quilt.  The recipient requested a Swoon quilt using Salt Air fabric.  So far I have 7 of the 9 blocks done.

Block 1 (so pretty!) Swoon 1

Block 2 Swoon 2

Block 3 Swoon 3

Block 4 (I adore the whale tails!) Swoon 4

Block 5 (love that red!) Swoon 5

Block 6 (my favorite!!) Swoon 6

Block 7 Swoon 7

Have you been stuck inside and able to sew as well?  I'd love to hear what you are working on during these snow days!

Linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced.

Also, happy 8th birthday to this guy.  I'm so blessed to be his Mommy :)
