Works in Progress

As I am starting to get over a wonderful cold (PLEASE GOD!), I have gotten busy again at the sewing machine.  Last night I finished piecing a batik table runner.  This table runner uses 2 Benartex Bali Batik charm packs.  There is such a variety of colors in these charm packs and they are so beautiful and vibrant.  I made hourglass blocks from the charm squares and pieced a REALLY long table runner (16" x 96")!!

As you can see this one will not be for our table (especially since I had to use our hallway floor just to get a full sized photo of it!)

It will however go to my beautiful Aunt's house for her new dining table (don't worry...it's going to be a big one ;-)).  They have been working hard to remodel most of their house, but especially the kitchen and eating areas.  It is turning out so amazing and yes I'm jealous of her new cabinets and gorgeous granite countertops!!

I promise once I get this quilted and her new table arrives, I will post a photo of this runner in its new home.

These aren't the greatest pictures, but it was a dark rainy evening, so it's the best I could do at the moment.

Now for a sneak peak into my next project...

I am in love with these colors.  I have a feeling I will be seeing more of them in my future projects.

That's all for now, gotta get back to the sewing machine!
